What is Brute Force Attack in cyber security?

An attack where hackers try many passwords until they find the right one.

A brute force attack is a method used by hackers to gain access to accounts by systematically trying every possible password until the correct one is found. This type of attack can be automated, allowing hackers to try thousands or millions of password combinations quickly. Using strong, complex passwords and enabling two-factor authentication can help protect against brute force attacks. Regularly monitoring for unusual login attempts is also crucial for defense.
