What is Adware in cyber security?
Software that displays unwanted ads.
Adware is software designed to display unwanted advertisements on your device, often within a web browser. It can be intrusive and annoying, and sometimes it tracks your online behavior to show targeted ads. While not always harmful, adware can slow down your device and compromise your privacy. It typically gets installed unintentionally through bundled software or malicious websites. Using ad blockers and antivirus programs can help prevent adware.
